Best of Show in the 109th Annual Des Moines Women’s Group Show.
The Des Moines Women’s Group Artshow has been happening for over 100 years, and Shawn has entered into this show at least the past 10 years and once, only once, did he win awards. The ironic part of him winning, was that the judge loved his Lizzie Borden painting, and Shawn is quite sure the judge didn’t know who she was exactly. You can read more here about Lizzie. What a fascinating story. Shawn captured her as a strong willed woman, with an unusual beauty.
